Effective Discounting & Decoy Pricing on Indiegogo

A recent Indiegogo project caught my eye and I went to the campaign page to take a look.

Without knowing the details I was expecting to buy a couple of units and spend about $50, hopefully less. And, as it turns out, I could have done exactly that – they were selling two units for $49.

But their discounting was so aggressive and effective decoy pricing so compelling that there was really only one choice: ten units.

This was far than I could use and more money than I planned on spending. But the pricing was so good I couldn't resist it.
